Ferryboat, Tour Boat, Dredge & Marine Craft Monitoring & Surveillance Wireless GPRS Camera & Webcam - Observer IV
Boat & Marine Craft Monitoring & Surveillance Camera & Webcam
With the Observer IV Boat & Marine Craft Monitoring & Surveillance Camera & Webcam system, marine management,
boat owners & other personnel can visually monitor or provide surveillance on a continuous basis of their boats
and marine craft up to 40 miles out to sea in most cases. The Observer IV camera and webcam utilizes a wireless
GPRS GSM cellular service that covers extended areas off shore.
The Observer camera and webcam can be operated in both day and night, with night vision low light infrared
capability. Our GPRS GSM wireless mobile boat & marine craft surveillance camera and webcam allows personnel to
go to any computer in the world with an Internet connection and view near real-time digital pictures or images on
their browser, ask for a picture or image to be taken at that time, or schedule pictures to be taken at any
desired time interval. Installation is simple. All that is required is to mount the camera in a location
suitable for acquiring the pictures or images required.

Ferryboat & Tour Boat Monitoring & Surveillance Camera & Webcam
Ferryboats and tour boats can be monitored remotely during their crossing over water, typically within
metropolitan areas within GPRS GSM cellular coverage areas. This can provide an added layer of surveillance and
security while these boats are still at dock, or out on the water. Remotely located personnel can see near
real-time camera or webcam pictures or images of what is occuring on the ferryboat or tour boat, the exact
location of ferryboat or tour boat is along its route, what passengers are on the boat, and current weather and
water conditions at the boat's position.
Camera or webcam pictures or images from Observer can easily be shared with any personnel and the public for
their viewing of current ferryboat activity and operations or even current weather conditions from any Internet
connected device.

Monitor Dredge Boat / Dredging Operations & Work Progress - Transmit
Camera or Webcam Pictures
With the Observer IV camera and webcam system, dredge boat management personnel can continuously monitor work
progress, such as the size of a dredge piling throughout the day. Management can monitor worker's compliance with
federal and state government workplace regulations. Worker safety can be monitored and potentially hazardous work
conditions can be detected and then rectified. Dredge operations personnel can also be alerted when a security
breach or illegal trespass at any remote or unsecured area has occured. Monitoring and surveillance of remote
areas can occur, as long as these areas are located within GPRS GSM cellular coverage areas.
The Observer dredge boat surveillance camera and webcam system can be automatically triggered to take pictures by
external events from motion detectors, infrared heat sensors, or many other types of remote event triggers and
sensors. The camera and webcam system can be set to automatically take pictures at specific intervals of time,
for example, once every 5, 15, 30 or 60 minutes. This provides a time-lapse effect when viewing work activity
over the course of several hours or each day. Breaches to security or secure areas can be identified and tracked
as well.

Mobile or Temporary Ferryboat, Tour Boat, Dredge & Marine Craft
Surveillance Camera & Webcam
The Observer IV wireless camera and webcam is easily moved as the visual monitoring and surveillance requirements
for any particular ferry boat, tour boat, dredge or other marine craft changes. Observer can be moved as projects
or programs are completed and new surveillance initiatives are started. The wireless camera and webcam system can
be used for temporary or short-term operations or ferryboat, tour boat, dredge boat or other marine craft
surveillance needs.
For example, a group of Observer camera systems could be moved into position on a temporary basis around
interesting or high value activity areas to provide continuous, round-the-clock surveillance and monitoring
during some particular event. The camera and webcam system can easily be moved around any given site or to new
sites as target surveillance areas change.

Viewing Pictures or Images using Your Computer
There are many ways
to view pictures after Observer IV has automatically uploaded them to
an FTP server. Included with Observer IV is FTP client software that
automatically checks the FTP server for new pictures from up to four
cameras simultaneously at user selected time intervals.
You may download Colorado Video's FTPJPGReader software now and try it by following these instructions.
A browser, like the one your using now, may also be used to view pictures.
For instance, just type "ftp://www.colorado-video.com/incoming/" into your browser's address bar to see a list of files on Colorado Video's FTP server.
Click on a ".jpg" to view it.
If you're using the Opera browser, you can set it to automatically update the picture periodically.
Simply click "Navigation" then "Reload Every" and then select your desired update time interval.
Opera has a great feature here because it can be used to update any web page automatically at any time interval you desire.
