Monitor Security, Public Usage, Crowd Level & Current Weather
at Landmarks, Historic Sites, Monuments, Public Facilities & Parks
With Lookout VI, landmark, monument and historic site management can monitor public usage, crowd level, and
current weather conditions at any national or local landmark, monument, historic site, public facility or park,
even those located in remote areas, as long as they have cellular coverage. The Lookout camera system can be
automatically triggered to take pictures by external events from motion detectors, infrared heat sensors, or many
other types of remote event triggers. The camera system can be set to automatically take pictures at specific
intervals of time, for example, once every 15, 30 or 60 minutes. This provides a time-lapse effect when viewing
security, usage patterns, crowd levels and weather conditions over the course of several hours or each day.
Breaches to security or secure areas can be identified and tracked as well.
The public can be given access to pictures served by the Lookout camera via the landmark, monument and historic
site websites. This allows the public to check current weather conditions and croud levels at locations they
are considering visiting.

Viewing Pictures or Images using Your Computer
There are many ways
to view pictures after Lookout VI has automatically uploaded them to
an FTP server. Included with Lookout VI is FTP client software that
automatically checks the FTP server for new pictures from up to four
cameras simultaneously at user selected time intervals.
You may download Colorado Video's FTPJPGReader software now and try it by following these instructions.
A browser, like the one your using now, may also be used to view pictures.
For instance, just type "ftp://www.colorado-video.com/incoming/" into your browser's address bar to see a list of files on Colorado Video's FTP server.
Click on a ".jpg" to view it.
If you're using the Opera browser, you can set it to automatically update the picture periodically.
Simply click "Navigation" then "Reload Every" and then select your desired update time interval.
Opera has a great feature here because it can be used to update any web page automatically at any time interval you desire.
