The real-time Electronic Video Mirror and Video Scan Reverser electronically reverse (left to right), flip (top to bottom), rotate 180° or swap the video image or picture from an NTSC or PAL color video source so as to create a mirroring, flipped upside down, or 180° rotation effect. This can be called a video mirror image effect. Video image reversal, correction or rotation occurs in real-time.

By Mirroring or flipping a video image, left to right, or top to bottom, the user can correct for upside down mirroring optics, ceiling mounted cameras, or simulate rearview mirrors.
